Compensation
· Hourly: $20-$35/hr dependant on qualifications and experience
Responsibilities for Carpenter
Install, maintain, and repair a variety of products, ranging from casing to insulation to tile to drywall to doors and windows
Perform work in accordance with safety best practices
Maintain tools and equipment in safe operating condition
Conduct building inspections and identify needed repairs
Document repairs and maintain thorough records
Cut, shape, and alter materials as needed
Install doors and windows
Measure and mark materials for alterations
Qualifications for Carpenter
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
Minimum of 3 years of general carpentry experience
Must possess a valid driver's license
Asbestos awareness training preferred
Strong reading, writing, and speaking skills (in English)
Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics
Comfortable using ladders and scaffolding
Demonstrated ability to operate hand, air, and power tools
Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
Other Tasks
· A willingness to perform tasks outside carpentry is required for this position. Other tasks can include but are limited to:
o Fresh and black water clean-up and tear out
o Fire damage cleaning and tear out
o Mold removal
o Asbestos removal
· All required training for safe work will be provided at the company’s expense
