Compensation

·       Hourly: $16-$25/hr dependant on qualifications and experience

Responsibilities

  • Measures and cuts drywall panels to fit in and around specific spaces such as doors, windows, electrical outlets, and lighting fixtures.

  • Installs drywall panels to wood or metal studs.

  • Uses drywall compound to fill in and cover joints, screws, nails, and other imperfections.

  • Sands joint compound once dry and applies drywall tape.

  • Creates textured surfaces when requested.

  • Cut-in / Paint in residential and commercial settings

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

  • Previous experience drywalling / painting preferred

  • Must possess a valid driver's license

  • Asbestos awareness training preferred

  • Strong reading, writing, and speaking skills (in English)

  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics

  • Comfortable using ladders and scaffolding

  • Demonstrated ability to operate hand, air, and power tools

  • Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly

  • Ability to work independently and with a work crew.

Other Tasks

·       A willingness to perform tasks outside carpentry is required for this position. Other tasks can include but are limited to:

o   Fresh and black water clean-up and tear out

o   Fire damage cleaning and tear out

o   Mold removal 

o   Asbestos removal

·       All required training and equipment for safe work will be provided at the company’s expense
